CASHMERE - Cashmere FFA dominated the State FFA Competition on Monday, April 14, securing both first and second place among 29 teams in the Environmental Natural Resources division.
The competition, held at the Chelan County Fairgrounds, tested students' environmental science knowledge through a rigorous series of challenges, including water quality analysis, wildlife identification, waste management scenario evaluation, GPS navigation, and soil erosion prevention strategies.
The first-place team earned a coveted spot at the National FFA Competition scheduled for this fall in Indianapolis.
Seven Cashmere FFA members placed in the top ten out of 123 competitors, with Abigail Kim capturing the State Champion title. Other top performers included Finn Smith (2nd), Marshall Pell (3rd), Adi Poole (4th), Logan Potter (8th), Addison Talley (9th), and Colton Stendera (10th).
This impressive showing demonstrates the strength of Cashmere's agricultural education program and positions the team as serious contenders at the upcoming national competition.
